Mary, Mother of the Eucharist Student Chapel
April 27, 2026

After years of fervent prayer and careful planning, Ave Maria University is thrilled to announce that we will break ground on the Mary, Mother of the Eucharist Chapel on May 7, 2026. This magnificent new structure will become the spiritual heart of our campus, a sacred space that draws our students into an ever-deeper relationship with Our Lord through daily Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, and the Sacrament of Confession. We warmly invite our alumni community to return to campus and celebrate this momentous occasion with us as we lay the foundation for this beacon of faith.
The groundbreaking day promises to be a memorable celebration of Ave Maria's commitment to fostering authentic Catholic formation. In addition to the main chapel groundbreaking at 10:00 a.m., we will also celebrate the groundbreaking of two chapels within the Rosary Wall: the Martha J. Burke Adoration Chapel and the Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Chapel in honor of Sara Demetree. For those interested in the full spiritual experience, a Maronite Mass will begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by the groundbreakings throughout the morning.
The day's schedule offers something for everyone in our campus community. Optional morning events include the Maronite Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel at 8:00 a.m., the groundbreaking of the Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Chapel at 9:15 a.m., and the Martha J. Burke Adoration Chapel groundbreaking at 9:35 a.m. The main Mary, Mother of the Eucharist Chapel groundbreaking takes place at 10:00 a.m. between St. John Paul II and St. Francis Xavier Residence Halls, followed by a light reception at Judi's Gym at 10:30 a.m.
We hope you will join us for this joyful occasion celebrating Ave Maria's spiritual mission.
